Basic Skin Care Routine For All Skin Types’

Contrary to what other people know, different skin types warrant different skin care routine. You might have heard of the 10-step beauty routine but for beginners, it is best to start with the basic but a reliable routine. From there, you can determine which organic skin care products in Australia will suit your skin type.

Figuring out your skin type is easy. You have normal skin if you seen no dry patches on your face or if there is no visible oil. This is the easiest skin type to maintain because it is not sensitive to beauty products and it does not struggle with acne. People with dry skin might see flakes on their face and feel tightness. Oily skin means the face is visibly shiny. Combination skin, on the other hand, is a mixture of the last two skin types – oily and dry. This means that the T-zone is oily but the rest of the face is dry.

The first step for any skin type is to use a facial cleanser with low pH. It removes dirt as well as excess oil and should be used upon waking up and before going to bed. So as not to disrupt the natural pH of the skin, an ideal cleanser should have a pH not higher than 7. It is not recommended to use bar soap because its usual level of pH is between 9 and 10. If your cleanser is within the recommended pH level, it eliminates the need to use a toner right after.

After cleansing, the face should be moisturized. People with oily skin should not skip this step since cleansing beforehand removes excess oil. If you have been exposed under the sun, a moisturizer with aloe vera is recommended. Facial oils can also be used as a moisturizer but it should be compatible with your skin type.

Next to moisturizer is the sunscreen because it helps prevent skin-aging. There are sunscreens that are made for lightweight application while sport sunscreens are thicker and ideal for outdoor activities.

Lastly, do not forget to include exfoliant in your organic skin care products in Australia because it will help remove dead skin as well as dirt that have accumulated on your pores.
